A Message from the Director:
To the parents, we are dedicated to the enjoyable task of not only teaching your child to dance, but also to witnessing the development of their mental and physical growth, coordination, poise, grace and personality. We hope that by enrolling your child at Salsabor Tropical you intend to take an active part in helping maintain an enthusiastic attitude in dancing for your child at all times. You must place your trust in us to make proper decisions in your child's best interest. We trust that your child’s dance experience with us will be a meaningful one.

REGISTRATION & TUITION POLICIES
REGISTRATION POLICIES:
- Please Print and fill out the registration form which is accompanied by a RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT form. EVERY registration form MUST be accompanied by this form.
The registration form and the release and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement form can be downloaded by clicking here "Registration Form & Release/Waiver of Liability Agreement".
- There is an annual $15.00 registration fee due at time of registration. This annual registration fee will be collected at time of enrollment. The registration fee is a one time fee which will be collected each year starting in January.
- Registration is accepted on first come first serve basis.
- Classes will be closed to further enrollment once maximum capacity has been reached.
- Registration fees and tuition payments are non-refundable.
- Return check fee: $25.00

TUITION PAYMENT POLICIES:
- Tuition/Payment Is to be paid the first Saturday of each month. No exceptions. $40 per dancer, $50 on the months with 5 weeks, or purchase a bundle of class "Student Dance Card" and save money. It will be considered late after the 1st Saturday of the month, and a $10.00 late fee will be automatically added.
- Best Payment Plan: Dance Cards (saves you money)
You can purchase a dance card, save money, and not worry about monthly tuition. Why get a Dance Card?It is convenient: classes are paid in advance. It is easy to use: Just present the dance card at the beginning of each lesson. It is good for three months
Please note: Your prepaid Student's Dance Card is valid for three months from the date of purchase. No exception from this rule.
- Initial payment will be collected at time of registration.
- Your child must be in class on time every Saturday.
- Time of class: 11am to 12 midday.
- There will be no prorating or refunds given due to missed classes, unless the absent is excusable by substantial proof.
- Withdrawing Policy: You must complete a drop form thirty-days prior to your upcoming tuition payment. You will be responsible for the next payment if you do not give a thirty-day written notice. Please be aware that no prorating or refunds will be issued due to withdrawing from classes.
- Return check fee: $25.00

STUDIO RULES & CLASS RULES:
- FIRST AND FOR MOST SMILE!
- ABOUT THE DANCE CLASSES – Anyone between the ages of 7 and 14 can participate in the class. No tryout is required! These classes have two primary purposes...1) to highlight some of the basic fundamentals of dance and 2) to give the dancers a chance to learn routines and to perform in front of an audience. The class will learn a routine that will be performed in different shows. These classes are a great way to prepare for being on the dance team.
OBSERVATION:
- Parents or siblings are not allowed in the dance room during class time; We enforce this rule because we don't want noise or distraction for the dancers when they are learning.

COMMUNICATION WITH INSTRUCTOR:
- Please remember that time is limited in between classes and it is very important that we start classes on time. Therefore, if you need to speak to an instructor, you have a couple of options. The easiest way is to e-mail the instructor. You may also leave your instructor a note with our office staff and the instructor will e-mail or call you back. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding!

MISSING CLASS:
- Your child must be in class on time every Saturday.
- Time of class: 11am to 12 midday.
- There will be no prorating or refunds given due to missed classes, unless the absent is excusable by substantial proof.
- If you must miss class for any reason, it is your responsibility to e-mail us or call our office at 786-290-0376 a month in advance (unless is an emergency), and inform the office staff or leave a voice mail message. Please do this prior to the scheduled class time so we can inform the instructor of your absence.
- If a dancer (child) misses a class, it is the dancer responsibility to learn the material taught on the class missed.

DRESS CODE:
- All students/dancers must follow and are expected to adhere to the Salsabor Tropical dress code policy listed below for all classes.
- Students should come into class fully prepared with hair properly secured and dance shoes on.
- All students must wear any kind of non-marking sole shoes (jazz shoes, dance shoes, etc.); and any outfit or clothing that facilitates practicing is acceptable.
- No jewelry may be worn to class other than small earrings.
- Dance shoes should not be worn outside of the building.

TIMELINESS:
- All students should be in class on time. Please, arrive to class at least 5 minutes early before scheduled class time for all classes.
- Schedule class time 11am to 12 midday, unless time and day is changed by the instructor due to schedule performances.
- If a student arrives late, please check in with front desk office staff to receive access to class.
- It is the parent’s responsibility to be prompt when picking up dancers right after class. If you must pick your (child) dancer up early from class, please send a written notice to the instructor and the instructor will dismiss the dancer from class. No parents are allowed to disrupt the class.
- All dancers should wait inside the facility when waiting to be picked up.
- Salsabor Tropical cannot be responsible for watching children in between class shift.

FACILITY & DANCE ROOM:
- No horseplay will be permitted in the dance studio.
- There will be no food or gum permitted in the dance studio.
- No chewing gum, food and/or drink are allowed in the dance room. The only exception is that dancers may bring a water bottle to class.
- Please help keep the lobby, lounge area, and bathrooms clean.
- It is your responsibility to clean up after yourself and throw all trash away. Should you notice that any of these rooms need attention, please notify a staff member immediately.
- Student must keep talking to a minimum.
- Any student who repeatedly disrupts the class will be dismissed from class.
- A parent/teacher conference must take place before a "dismissed student" may return to class.
- All dance or school bags must be brought into the dance room and placed neatly in an area designated by the instructor.
- The office is for staff only. No parents or dancers are allowed in the office without the permission of a Salsabor Tropical staff member.
- Please also note that Salsabor Tropical facility is a non-smoking facility.

SAFETY:
- Safety for your child is of our utmost concern.
- All young dancers must be escorted to and from the studio.
- Please do not leave any children unattended in the studio.
- It is the parent’s responsibility to be prompt when picking up dancers right after class at 12 midday.
- If a health condition exist which will prevent full participation, please notify Salsabor Tropical in writing or by e-mail as soon as possible.
- No child will be allowed to leave the studio with anyone other than a parent unless with written notice from parent.

BENEFITS OUT OF PERFORMANCES AND SHOWS:
- Things you need to know about Performances and shows.
- Performances and shows are an extenuation of the benefits derived from dance training.
- Students learn discipline, cooperation, stage direction, and terminology.
- Stage presence helps children to overcome shyness and develop their individual personalities.
- It will be important for your child to attend their classes regularly in order to learn performance and show dances. If excessive absenteeism prevents the child from learning the dance, he/she will not be allowed to perform with their class.
COSTUME FEES FOR PERFORMANCES AND SHOWS:
- Your child will need a dance costume.
- A costume or costumes will be your responsibility to purchase or to be made.
- The fee for costumes is not included in the registration or tuition fee.
- Costumes Payment must be in full.
- Proper undergarments are required
- No Refunds for any costumes fees for any reason.
- No costume will be given out unless paid in full.
- NO REFUNDS for registration fees, tuition, or costumes, etc.
- NO REFUNDS will be issued due to withdrawing from classes.
- There will be no charge admission to the performances or shows for the dancers or parents. Unless, the parents decide to stay after and take part in the convention, congress, etc.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:
- Salsabor Tropical follows the Broward and Dade County Public Schools decision for canceling school and classes. If either county cancels school, then Salsabor Tropical cancels classes. If you have any questions, please call us at 786-290-0376 our voice mail will specify if classes have been canceled, or visit our page www.salsabortropical.com and click on announcements.
